Neopagan Magik

WELCOME TO NEOMAGIK

"Magic, sometimes known as sorcery, is a conceptual system that asserts human ability to control the natural world (including events, objects, people, and physical phenomena) through mystical, paranormal or supernatural means." - from Wikipedia.

This system of Magic and philosophy, that I call Neomagik, is based on what I think to be the "best of the past doctrines" and includes my own vision.
In particular Neomagik is a natural form of Magic that follows Universal cosmic natural laws, some already discovered and others not yet discovered by science today. Neomagik uses intuitive and creative thinking and is powered by mental magnetism which will act as an attractor for the superior energies or God energies.
The alchemical power of these energies can create miracles and prodigies if correctly directed, and if karma is not in opposition. This form of Magic is similar to the one that was practiced by the ancient Babilonian Magi, the Egyptian-Greek and Roman Magus.
If it's true that many charlatans claimed to be real Magus, it is also correct that many enlightened men were true disciples of this superior Magic also called science of Hermes; among them we like to remember from the old days : Apollonius of Tyanae, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Empedocles of Akragas, Plato, Proclus, Iamblichus ....
Especially people like the philosophers Pythagoras, Plato or Proclus intended Magic to be part of a more comprehensive doctrinal system, mixing among others theology, theurgy, rituals and sacred geometry. This created a very powerful and complete system of scientific doctrine that joined spirit and matter in a new and revolutionary way in its own time, which was the antithesis of the later simplistic Christian doctrine which intended to be understandable and embraced by the majority of people.
It is also evident that Pagans beliefs were made by a plethora of esoteric doctrines with a Magical pantheon of rituals available, allowing a follower to be intellectually and spiritually creative, being "master" of himself and manipulator of natural cosmic energies.
Jesus Christ's vision of "unlimited Love" simplified and updated the oldest and more articulated Pagan concept of beauty=Love ( see Plato & Neoplatonism ...).
Jesus Christ Love added a new extremely powerful Magic weapon to the previous Pagan pantheon : the power of Love, which the Pagans see as a part of the Gods energy that flows to them from the Father, The One-God.

My opinion is that the impossible Christ's utopian vision of humanity being in a perfect status of an infinite and uninterrupted flowing of Love can be replaced by the Mithraic concept of Love=Power, or heroicism of yourself.
This explains also why Jesus, and later the apostle Saint Paul of Tarsus, took symbols and rituals from Roman Mithraism to create Christianism : Jesus and Paul also knew that the Christian idea of a continuous and conscious state of superior love was a wonderful utopia, at least for the common mortals, because "to love everybody like yourself" you need to be already at least a ... messiah ! Nothwithstanding that this "impossible" Love was used like a flag to support the Christian credo propagation in order to destroy Paganism and consequently cut the legs of the Roman Empire too !

From my perspective the closest match for this "impossible divine Love" is a derivative concept, a surrogate which can be obtained by simulating this impossible flow of continuous and infinite "Christic superior Love" with an echo of this superior Love, or to be more clear with an "idea" of this love.
This implies not merely to pray God to fulfill your wishes, but to consciously visualize and to evoke this superior Love power on yourself, meaning to try to stretch your limits beyond your possibilities and especially visualizing yourself without limits: you perceive your limits and observing them, trespass them to create a new powerful vision of you.
You need then to "materialize" your vision with a Magical act of conscious and powerful will !!

These are the basic visions and practices of Neomagik, which conjugate in its doctrinal corpum all the best from old religions,doctrines and philosophies, adding to them my own thoughts and intuitive knowledge. - PR
