This is a representation of the Universe created by the One - God defining Neopagan.com’s own peculiar doctrine and vision. It needs to be seen as a hierarchical descent from the One into the matter and vice versa. Implying that the One – God, also called Pater, is the source of all things, this means that the further you move from the One, the less power you have. It is also clear from the Schema that during the contraction-expansion process of the Universe, the One becomes fragmented and diversified into many sub-parts. This is the beginning of the separation of the souls that are now becoming separate entities. Those entities cannot re-enter and merge back with the One at anytime because they need to follow the descendent chain and then re-ascent to the One, thru all the steps represented by the Schema. Many of the intermediary steps and entities are not represented here at this time, but I will add them in the future for a better detailed "geography" of the Universe. Additionally, in a more classical approach to follow ancient Paganism, I use some of the terminology used by the Neo platonic philosophers, Plotinus among them.

SCHEMA : Take a look at the Schema from the top to the bottom and use it as a visual reference of a material and spiritual Universe. You can see that at the top there is the One or God, then from him flows a chain of emanations. This Schema is just a basic representation of the One and His emanations. Here I simplified the sequence and just the most prominent levels are presented. Human beings are placed at the bottom of the schema in the Solid Matter realm and they can only reach the superior beings through a vertical path, which implies that they need to trespass through each level. The first divine emanations available to humans are the Angels, then we can reach the Gods... the One is separated from us and can be reentered by us in the form of pure soul at the end of our soul incarnation - voyage, after having trespassed all the Material and Spiritual stages, triumphantly merging with the One !...

DESCRIPTION : The One is God, unknown and unreachable by us as human beings.
He creates the Universe in a continuum state of generations, with continuous expansions and contractions. The One-God lives outside temporal dimensions and consequently cannot be described and understood with our limited physical parameters, therefore we can say that He doesn't have beginning nor end and furthermore the concept of time is related just to the matter realm.
Consequently the Universe doesn't have a real first beginning, since this apparent beginning happened outside time.
The One-God creates the Universe, which embodies parallel sub - Universes, that are made by spirit and matter.
With the act of creation the One begins "its materialization" getting also temporal attributes ( it reaches the domain of time ), and the Gods become the first emanation of power from the initial creation - expansion, but the Gods at this stage are just one undifferentiated power that its second just to the One-God. Consequently after entering the chain of manifestation-materialization-incarnation, they acquire a lesser status of potency but they increase their numbers during the descent into more crude realms of the universe. At this stage they become differentiated energies that we represent in an anthropomorphic form as the Gods.
This is how the One becomes differentiated into many sub parts.

THE GODS : The Gods, being God emanations, are receiving and embodying part of the One's attributes and power, as they act like God processor chips - transducers, which means that they are the channels the One uses to express His will and nature through the Universe & sub-universes.
They are pure cosmic divine energies, reachable by us through a vertical flight of the soul-mind human form.
The direct emanations from the Gods are the Angels, which are pure spirits that are in control of all creation.
They are also capable of letting us talk with the Gods on rare occasions, but in any case they are the only ones in charge of this divine contact between
human and Gods, since humans cannot directly reach the Gods.

THE SOUL : When the One - God manifests Himself in the realm of time and matter it becomes Soul, the Cosmic Soul or the Soul of the entire Universe, which can be better understood as a Holy Spirit or Thelesma, following the Gnostic term.
Then the Cosmic Soul subsequently generates the Individual Souls that later will become, through the incarnation process, human souls with body and mind.
The Universe is now divided in a multitude of different Universes, spread out in different levels of consciousness and temporal locations, made by Individual Souls that become human beings through incarnation in a body with flesh.
Around the Universes there are the Ethereal Spiritual worlds that surround all of them, including our physical plane and its own Universe.
This physical plane or Solid Matter, where we live, is kept alive by the Anima Mundi which is the direct emanation or reflection of the Cosmic Soul on a lower plane.
Anima Mundi is the equivalent of the quintessence of the Alchemists.

This is a brief and general Schema of all creation made by the One.

THEOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS : This schematic representation of the various steps of God's Universal creation, includes also the "voyage" of the Souls through the main Universe.
A Universe sub divided into multiple Universes, made by spiritual and material nature.
We acknowledge that from a broad view, spirit and matter are melded and not really as separate as we perceive, from our limited human point of view.
Through this process it becomes evident that everything was made by the One and that we are, in a anthropomorphic sense his sons.
It is of major importance to see that the One cannot be achievable or approachable by us.
The One embodies both positive and negative aspects, being the creator of all things, practically he cannot be described as good or bad.
It is impossible from our perspective to define Him. However if we are forced to give Him a more understandable connotation this will be to see Him as primarily Power, an infinite source of Power. Similarly the Gods, His first emanations in the chain of creation, are sharing this duality.
The same concept is applicable to the rest of the Schema chain including us.
Perhaps my explanations can be seen as simplified, and surely the nature of " good and bad" requires a more deep investigation,
but I strive here to be simple, clear and get to the point.

PRACTICAL CONSEQUENCES : From the perspective of Magic we acknowledge that since the One is pure Power, the more Power you can reach enables you to operate so called magic or making miracles. Unfortunately following the old traditions and the Schema, The One is unachievable by humans. This implies that we need to find a different source. That's why we are searching, with what I call the vertical flight from our perspective, for Angels and Gods that being so close to the One are a really good source of Power. Notwithstanding the Schema is not implying physical geographical vertical or horizontal directions, this power is becoming achievable for us from the One ( at an imaginary Top above us ) through Angels and Gods in a descending way toward us. Those entities are embodying this power in a decreasing ratio according to the Schema, that makes the Gods the most wanted and desirable sources of achievable Power.
